Battersea Park Children’s Zoo

In Outdoor fun on July 3, 2010 at 10:28 am

The Battersea Park Children’s Zoo is open from 10:00 a.m. everyday with closing times varying between winter and summer seasons.  It’s a terrific place for kids of all ages to play, run around, explore and get a hands on experience on animal life.  There are feeding times during which the children can help feed and/or pet some of the smaller animals which is great fun.  The large sandpit is a hit and so are the many playgrounds which include wall climbing, swings, slides and a huge firetruck to climb in.  The cafe serves sandwiches, ice-cream, a variety of drinks and snacks with seating available inside or outside on the lawn.  There are baby changing rooms within the toilet area which is great when you need some privacy.   It’s a superb place if you’re looking for an afternoon or all day family trip.  Bring a blanket and have a picnic there,  there are plenty of open spaces and tables (with umbrellas).  Or maybe you’ll want to plan your child’s next birthday party there too?!
