Crumpet

In Cafes & bakeries, Indoor fun on March 31, 2010 at 2:38 pm

Located in the middle of Northcote Road, this is by far one of the hot spots in Clapham.  Crumpet is ideal for those wanting a latte, sandwich, scone or a cup of one of their wonderful selection of own blended teas.  And, heck, why not stop in one day and treat yourself to an afternoon of Champagne Tea!   There’s a play area in the rear and a space to park your buggy.  I’m sure if you live in or around the area, you’ve been here at least once.  Great place to host a party too.

The Dysart Arms

In Pubs on March 31, 2010 at 1:33 pm

We had roast here a few weeks ago and were impressed by both the food and amenities.  Each bathroom (men’s and women’s) contains a baby changing area and the pub itself is very cozy and comfortable.  It feels as if you’re in someone’s home.  Across the street is a small playground set within Richmond Park, perfect for the kids to run around or get on a swing on a nice, warm day.  The pub is easily accessible via bus from Richmond train station but beware of Sunday drivers, traffic can make the commute about 30 minutes longer than expected.  However, if you’d like to bypass this, feel free to walk along the River or in the park.  Great place for lunch and/or dinner.   Take a look at their Children’s Policy before visiting, reservations needed.
